For a long time now, a wide variety of brand manufacturers of PA speaker systems have been using the CELESTION range of high-performance speakers. In the current MOVE series, our brand MONACOR relies on the horn driver CDX1-1747, for example. CELESTION is still based in the United Kingdom where they concentrate on (further) development and quality assurance of the drivers.
High-power subwoofers of the HDX series from CELESTION feature an outstanding power capability of 2,000W. Even at maximum load, they ensure operating reliability. These speakers provide a sophisticated ventilation of the drive system. High mechanical reserves are possible due to a very high excursion of the extra rigid cone, double centering spiders, special multi-roll surrounds and heat-resistant voice coils.

The CDX14-3040 is a 1.4" compression driver with a 3" voice coil and neodymium magnet. It is the third large-format compression driver developed by CELESTION with a one-piece 3" titanium cone and surround. It is equipped with a rigid and lightweight edge-wound copper-clad aluminium voice coil and has a power rating of 75 W RMS (AES standard). From 50 Hz to 20 kHz, it features a sensitivity of 106.5 dB. CELESTION recommends a minimum crossover frequency of 1 kHz (at 12 dB/oct.)
