MONACOR INTERNATIONAL from Bremen, Germany, donated EUR 5,000 to the 'Bremer Krebsgesellschaft e.V.' (Bremen Cancer Society) for regional counselling services and cancer research.
Bremen (special report). Looking beyond the horizon: MONACOR INTERNATIONAL is located in Bremen-Mahndorf (Germany) and operates in the field of PA and security technology. It is one of the companies that donate money for people in emergency situations rather than accepting gifts and gratuities for festive occasions. The 'Bremer Krebsgesellschaft' (Bremen Cancer Society) which is helping people with cancer and their relatives living in Bremen and neighbouring cities was already able to profit from this company's philosophy in 2015 when MONACOR INTERNATIONAL donated a large sum of money instead of receiving presents from their business partners for their 50th anniversary. Last Christmas, they took the opportunity again to donate money for a good cause. At the counselling centre Am Schwarzen Meer, Bremen (Germany), MONACOR INTERNATIONAL's managing director Marco Willroth (second on the right) and marketing director Michael Korte (far left) now handed over a symbolic cheque for EUR 5,000 to the president of the 'Bremer Krebsgesellschaft' (Bremen Cancer Society) Prof. Dr. med. Ernst Heinrich Schmidt (second from left) and managing director Wilfried Hautop (second from left).
Both of the company's representatives gave an insight into their motivation and commented: "Nowadays, we are confronted more and more frequently with deadly diseases such as cancer, both in our private environment and within our company's team. We want to actively contribute towards the fight against cancer, particularly supporting the research and counselling services. The 'Bremer Krebsgesellschaft' (Bremen Cancer Society) is strongly committed in these areas and we are very happy to support this cause."
Prof. Schmidt concluded: "We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much and will use the donation for regional cancer research. As we are solely funded by donations and don?t receive any public money, this kind of donation is a tremendous help to carry on with our work on such a high level."
